What is the 2014 Ford Explorer's Projected Fuel Economy?

The 2014 Ford Explorer’s fuel economy ratings should remain at their model-year 2013 levels. This means an Explorer with the standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine and front-wheel-drive should again be rated at 17/24/20 mpg city/highway/combined, and 16/22/18 mpg with all-wheel-drive.

The optional Ecoboost 2.0-liter turbo-four, which should again only be available with front-drive, will likely be rated at a more-frugal 20/28/23. The Explorer Sport, with AWD and the Ecoboost turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 standard, will likely be rated at 16/22/18 mpg.
